It is with great pleasure that I announce that the founding work that led to this research centre, ChatGPT versus engineering education assessment: a multidisciplinary and multi-institutional benchmarking and analysis of this generative artificial intelligence tool to investigate assessment integrity, was awarded the Best Paper Published in 2023 in the European Journal of Engineering Education. This was presented at the SEFI2024 conference.
Key achievements include:
• Became the EJEE’s most-read paper of the year within just 10 days.
• Reached the 5th most-read EJEE paper of all time in only two months. Currently on track to be the 2nd most read by the end of 2024.
• In 2023, despite being a mid-year publication, it accounted for 7% of the journal's total readership.
• It currently stands as the most cited EJEE paper in the past three years.
